Post-Processing for additive manufactured (3D) eyewear.

Haug presents innovative solutions for surface finishing of eyewear frames.

Additive manufacturing is positioned as an additional technology for the production of spectacle frames alongside traditional production methods. The specific manufacturing process presents new challenges for post-processing, for example a much rougher unmachined surface, as well as more complex geometries that make smoothing and polishing considerably more difficult.

In cooperation with AM Solutions, a brand of the Rösler Group, Haug offers a range of machines and media that are specially designed for finishing of 3D plastic and metal eyewear parts. The most common plastics in the 3D eyewear market are PA-12 or PA-6 (SLS), for which we provide suitable solutions. Thanks to our scientific approach - testing under realistic conditions on your eyewear workpieces - we guarantee stable and repeatable results that can be implemented in your production processes.
