For certain applications these machines can be equipped with special clamping pads that ensure a perfect positioning of the lens inside the machine.
Such clamping pads are milled to shape on the machine itself, according to your finished lens shape.
They may be used on our S-610, S-610A, S-611, S-614 and S-615 series instead of regular clamping pads, and show certain advantages:
- Larger surface area to cover the lens during the milling operation
- Can reduce vibration, slipping of lenses
- Especially for coated lenses, these clamping pads provide a much better grip
They are available for base curves: 4 , 5 , 6 , 8 , 9 . 10
Additionally, we provide special clamping pads for cylindrical lenses.
They are available for base curve: 7,5 .
In order to mount any kind of special clamping pad, your machine must be equipped with the optional support for special clamping pads (article code: BS-21-610-055).
